fitness

I am a huge believer in fitness and working out. I have been a dancer since I was three years old. I started to workout outside of dancing about a year and a half ago and believe it is very healthy for your body to get some sort of movement in every day.

My mother has worked out at The Bar Method for 5 years and always persuaded me to join her in a class. I was never very interested in going because I was very busy with dance every day.

Once I quit studio dance in 2015, I only was a part of my high school dance team from June to March. I had March to June of doing nothing, except laying at home. In April of 2017, my mom finally convinced me to try once barre class with her and since then, I have been hooked.

You might ask, what is barre?

A barre class is a low impact, high intensity, interval training workout that uses precise isometric exercises followed by active and passive stretching to lengthen and elongate muscles that create a long, lean dancer-like body. No dance experience is needed! Find out more at www.barmethod.com

You might ask, why The Bar Method?

“The Bar Method technique stands apart because it is safe, smart and personal. It was created under the guidance of physical therapists to ensure it is safe and effective for students spanning a wide range of abilities including those with physical limitations and injuries. Unlike other barre workouts, our instructors undergo a lengthy and rigorous training that includes lessons of anatomy and hands-on adjustments. Annual certification exams ensure the highest standards are upheld across the entire teaching community. Our students receive personalized adjustments, modifications and encouragement to get the most out of every workout. It’s a workout that is safe and sustainable for life!”

The community at The Bar Method is unlike any other workout facility. The women and teachers I have met, have truly changed my life in a more positive way. Every time I try a different type of workout, whether it is cycling or running, I never feel the same or receive the same results as I do from The Bar Method.

I hope you consider trying a barre class or even The Bar Method if you are in the proximity of one. https://barmethod.com/locations/
