My name is Emily and I live in Kansas City. Two years ago, I began to have extreme abdominal pain and bloating with my stomach. I went to countless doctors appointments and tried multiple diets, but none of them seemed to stick. I became gluten-free in April of 2017 which took my abdominal pain away, but not the bloating and constipation. 

In July of 2017, I tested the FODMAP diet for a month, but that did nothing for me. I continued to be gluten-free for the next nine months and took many probiotics like Miralax and fiber gummies.

Finally, in April of 2018, I figured out the solution. I visited a holistic doctor, who knew exactly what the problem was. I had bacterial overgrowth in my intestines, along with my IBS. My doctor told me I needed to get rid of gluten, dairy, corn, soy, and refined sugar for my gut to heal. That brings me to today! I have been paleo ever since, and my body is slowly, but surely improving.
